Architect paid serious attentions to the transition from the hustle, bustle of the big city, New York to the comfortable quiet private space, your hotel room.When you enter the courtyard from 40th street, on the way to the lobby entrance, you will be greeted by the thicket of bamboo grass and cascading water. After the check-in, you go through the lobby with the marble flooring and then to the elevator cab with soft lighting. Going through the warmly appointed corridor, you finally reach to the very quiet, serene private guestroom. This type of courtyard is rarely seen in Manhattan was almost unintentional consequence of the zoning compliance method called Daylight Evaluation.
