Among many projects designed by us in various locations such as New York, other states in USA, Europe and Asia, we will show you some projects representing our design philosophy and approach. We will also illustrate the process of architectural practice through an actual example, Bryant Park Tower designed by us and completed in 2006 in Manhattan. We will exhibit actual drawings and specifications at each phase of the project as well as displaying the various contracts forms, authority application and approval documents, and correspondences with contractors. “Architect, Go Internternational”
Through my daily life and architectural practice in USA, I realized that there are so much difference in the way of thinking and customs between Japan and USA. Yes, I had a dream of becoming an architect in USA by looking at magnificent skyscrapers first time here in America but you must have clients to fulfill this my dream. How a rootless Japanese like I ended up obtaining commissions in large scaled projects in USA is in fact the process of learning what clients expect of architects do and the responsibility held by architects. We will discuss these issues with several commentators, the scope of architect’s responsibility and the actual work anticipated by clients in USA.
